50 calls for journalism/writing pitches (April 15, 2024)
Travel writer John Malathronas died earlier this year from cancer. I didn’t know him well personally, but we did collaborate on a book about travel writing together, along with 30 other experienced travel writers and editors. His professionalism came though in spades, and his friends remember him as a loyal and hugely fun and entertaining companion. The chapter he wrote for the book was full of excellent insights about pitching, and I have published it on the Travel Write Earn blog here, in his memory.
